Client was injured after a commercial vehicle stopped short behind him and a poorly secured PVC pipe flew from the vehicle and hit the rear passenger side of our client’s vehicle. Our client underwent chiropractic treatment, physical therapy, and a pair of injections. Third party insurance was initially skeptical of the mechanism of any injury, but medical records and substantial discussion over the psychological impact, as well as emphasizing the recklessness of their insured in not properly securing such an item netted an initial offer of $100,000, ultimately increased to $150,000.
