Run Red Light T-bone – $250,000
Our client was T-Boned at an intersection by someone who ran a red light going about 40 mph. Our client treated consistently. She had already paid for an IVF procedure and she had a failed pregnancy that I argued was a result of the stress, trauma, and physical injuries from the accident. Upon request, her IVF doctor to write a letter that, in his opinion, the failed pregnancy he could say was at least a 10-20% chance the result of the accident and trauma etc from it. Our client is also 44 years old and statistically at the end of her viable pregnancy years is what the at fault insurance argued. Maximum settlement was $250,000. The at fault insurance’s opening offer was $125,000. Then I sent them the doctor’s note and stood firm on our $250,000 demand. We told the insurance that our litigation team was ready to go to trial over this case. Eventually they went up to $250,000 limits.
